Bernzomatic Butane Detail Torch | Review

Dylan and I are both up to a good crafting session. We've always seen people burn wood to get this really cool dark, and even sometimes charred look. We dig it. We recently got the Bernzomatic Butane Detail Torch for Hobby and Household Use, and we just had to break it out and see how it works on a scrap piece of wood.
I want to say first off that I love the size. It fits so well in your hand and even though it's small, you don't feel the flame or feel like your hand is burning off. The trigger ignition easily ignites and extinguishes flame and there is a continuous button you can press and release the trigger, so your hand doesn't cramp! The best PART...this is CPSC approved with child resistant ignition! Now you don't have to worry about your house burning down when your small children want to make crafts as well.
So like I said before, we pulled out a scrap piece of wood and tried this guy out. It works so well and instantly starts giving the wood a nice dark tone. For my personal taste, I wouldn't want to do an entire project like this, and because it would take decades, but a small accent piece would be really cool.
You could even use this to melt some things, like solder with the solder tip that comes with the torch. Also, you can crisp the top of your baking dishes. With any use, there are interchangeable settings so you can use it for hot air blowing to a pencil flame for detail.
