Milwaukee M18 Fuel Sawzall Review

This post is sponsored by The Home Depot.

Oh boy are we excited to talk about this! This is the all new Milwaukee M18 FUEL Sawzall, inside and out. The power, the durability, the runtime, the new features, all I can say it's dominating the game.

This new Sawzall has a brushless motor, that's what the Fuel name means. So any tool from Milwaukee that says Fuel, that means brushless. Brushless means the motor uses magnets to generate power instead of friction, which means a cooler motor that then leads to a longer lifetime. It's pretty good investment to buy all brushless tools and not have to replace them every year or so.

Let's get into specifics about this tool. You get up to 30% faster cutting and maybe even a bit more when paired with the Milwaukee XC8AH battery. This battery provides 60% more run-time than an M18 XC5.0 battery and 50% more power to replace 15 Amp corded tools. Like we said before, this Sawzall is brushless which leads to a longer runtime and lifetime. But how much? 2X more runtime and 5X longer tool life to be exact. Milwaukee has really stepped it up with this tool.

Let's keep it going with the Milwaukee accessories. We use the 6 in. 7 TPI Torch Carbide Teeth Metal Cutting SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw Blade with this saw and it's like a match made in Heaven. Quick run down: Carbide teeth for 50X life over standard blades, 25% more carbide per tooth for extreme life, and 7 TPI for fast, efficient cutting in thick and extreme metals. If you're not into metal, Milwaukee does carry wood Sawzall blades!

When I first picked this up it was a little heavier than I expected, I think it's around 1 pound heavier than the older model, but I would totally sacrifice a pound for the faster cutting time. Another thing that's new is how the shoe can be adjusted. This is really nice so you can adjust to the thickness of your material. This Sawzall also features an LED light and hang hook.

Honestly, probably couldn't recommend this recip saw enough. It's got pretty much everything you could possibly want in a saw, other than the weight, but that's totally fine! Check out this Sawzall here!
