The new model of the RIDGID 16 Gal. 6.5-Peak HP NXT Wet Dry Vacuum is here! You guys! This vacuum has all the gizmos and gadgets. I first want to start out saying that we take pride in a clean shop, so having this in our shop is awesome! We don't get down on our hands and knees and wipe everything down everyday, but we do vacuum and put all of our tools away at the end of each day. Okay, sometimes we don't, but 9 times out 10 we do. Today we are going to talk to you about this Ridgid vacuum and everything it has to offer.
This vacuum is 16 gallons, so it's pretty large. That just means you can fill it up more and dump it out less than you would with a 3 gallon or 6 gallon. The two piece drum construction provides long lasting durability, heck yes! The 6.5 peak HP motor provides powerful suction for heavy-duty cleanup. The first time I used it to clean up some saw dust, the mess was gone in what it felt like half a second. Nuts!
I love the fact that every accessory this vacuum comes with can be stored on the drum itself one way or another. The long wand pieces have a dedicated spot on the feet for them to get placed into. The different nozzles, the one for liquids, the utility one, and the blower one (we will get to this in a sec.) , can get placed on the accessory part on the back of the drum. This is what I wish every vacuum has. A lot of them do, but you don't see this too often with these bigger ones. It's so hard to find a place to keep all the extension wands and keep up with them at the same time.
Now for something I have personally never seen before. This vacuum's motor detaches and converts into a blower! How cool is that?! So you can attach the blower nozzle straight into the body to be a blower to blow off leaves, pine straw or sawdust in our situation. Basically you are getting two tools into one!
Some other features that are good to know about this vacuum is that it comes with casters that turn 360 degrees, 20 ft. long power cord, built in drain for easy removal of liquids, and features the RIDGID lifetime warranty.
We love having the RIDGID 16 Gal. 6.5-Peak HP NXT Wet Dry Vacuum in our shop to help keep everything clean how we like it! I don't think we could recommend this 16 gal. vacuum enough!
