Ridgid Octane 18V Jig Saw | Review

Ok. Starting this out by how impressed we are by the Ridgid 18-Volt OCTANE Cordless Brushless Jig Saw. As part of Ridgid's continuing line of octane tools, this one is a great addition to the collection.
First off, the dust port is genius. I like the option of taking off the port and getting it out of the way, if we were working outside. Having a port is becoming more and more common on these tools, and you know, I'm all for some dust collection.
This jigsaw has Line Start which gives you ultimate control when starting a cut. The tool will start slow and then speed up when engaging with the material for the exact power you need, which ultimately gives you the most control.
The tool does have an adjustable speed dial, so once again, you can have the most control when working hand in hand with your materials. You also get a variable speed trigger and adjustable orbital action with 4 orbital settings.
One thing we really like is the lock-on button when we need to make long continuous cuts. This is a hand cramp savor I'm tellin' ya.
This jigsaw gives you the best performance with power, but you are still in control in all areas. You can check this out at The Home Depot, or online here!
