What materials are used and how much does it cost?

This project requires

• 1 1⁄2” x 1/16” x 96” Aluminum Flat Bar (You’ll need 1/8” for full sized door)

• (1) 1 1⁄2” x 1/8” x 96” Aluminum Flat Bar

• 1⁄2” x 36” Aluminum Round Tubing

• 3⁄4” x 96” Aluminum Channel (Optional)

• Pack of Patio Door wheels 1 1⁄2”

• Assortment of bolts and screws

• Aluminum self etching primer (optional if left natural)

• Color of choice spray paint (optional if left natural)

This hardware will cost roughly $50.

What are the dimensions of the Hardware?

The track is 86″ long, and the barn door hardware brackets are 6″ long, but feel free to make them how ever long you want!

How do I build the Hardware?

These plans have a full the materials I used, Links to products we used (Affiliate Links), Material cutting layouts, Full cut list, Color coded assembly instructions, and Step By Step plans to help along the way. We also have a video showing us build the desk which can help in the process as well, but is not nearly as detailed as the plans. Feel free to email us along the way if you have any questions!
