Boy do we love a cordless jig saw. We've never had one in our shop before and we have been missing out. We absolutely love having the Dremel Multi-Max 3.5 AMP Variable Speed Corded Oscillating Tool Kit  in our shop. It has so many uses and we just can't get enough of it! Sometimes you may find yourself in a pickle. There's an awkward corner that needs to be sanded, or a rectangle hole needs to be cut out of the wall, you name it, this can get the job done.

It felt so good outside the other day that we decided to bring the shop outside for the day.

It's almost that time of year again. The time to scramble for the perfect gift for your friends, grandpa, mom, dad, or spouse. I know a lot of people have already started their Christmas shopping, but I'm here to help you if you have no idea what to buy for the craft/DIY person in your life. 

OK. We all know sanding is the least fun job about woodworking or revamping things around the house. This new DEWALT 20-volt Cordless Brushless Random Orbit Sander is the bomb and might change your views on sanding. We just can never get enough shop storage. It seems like every time we turn around there's tools and boxes everywhere that don't have a home. Well not anymore! We recently rolled in the Husky 46" 9 Drawer Mobile Workbench with a Solid Wood Top. We've never had a Husky workbench before, and we can tell you that it's the best decision ever! The drawers are 24.5 in depth, which creates 36% more storage capacity than traditional 18 in. deep units. We have been filling these up with all the miscellaneous tools and jigs around the shop. 

This week we are making an EDC (everyday carry) wood and leather wallet! This is such a minimalist wallet and we love it! We are using our Inventables X-Carve for the wood part and then we are adding in some leather and elastic as well.

The folks at The Container store reached out to us few months ago to see if we’d be interested in checking out their newest addition to their product line, Gladiator, as well as a long time favorite, The Elfa Shelving System. We sent the size of the area where we could use more storage over to the container store’s in house designer. Their design included cabinet storage as well as an entire wall unit with shelving. We decided to install the system ourselves, but The Container Store does offer an installation service if you prefer that. 

In this weeks video we taking a really outdated bedroom and sprucing it up by painting the walls white, installing new trim, installing new carpet, installing a new ceiling fan, and decorating the room in simplistic modern style.

This week we are taking on a Miter Saw Station build! We are using shop stands from Rockler with casters, so we are still able to roll the entire station around the shop for cleaning purposes, or if we change up the layout. This station works the best for our best and our storage needs!

We finally got our hands on the Dewalt 10-Compartment Deep Pro Small Parts Organizer and the Dewalt 10-Compartment Pro Small Parts Organizer! These are the best for organizing screws, bolts, and really any small parts. And the best part, they connect to each other for transporting!

We are always on the lookout for some good lighting. A lot of the times, you could be working in a small dark area and need some extra light. You could be working under a car, working in the shop in or under a work piece, maybe possibly even doing some wiring. Here's a couple options from Husky to light up your workspace. 

This week we made these simple 2x2 side tables/magazine rack with Sam from Sam Ryan Designs! This project is a great one for beginner woodworkers or DIYers! This is really cheap in materials and it’s such a neat design that will match any home with different stains, paints, or finishes.
